You know what's awesome? Recognizing historical events and people as I play through Assassin's Creed 2 and feeling all smart and badass and historically aware, and then remembering that the only reason I know this is because I read it in Hannibal.

...on the plus side, someday I'll be able to recognize historical events and people in other media and only know them because I played Assassin's Creed 2.

AND THUS, THE CYCLE OF LEARNING IS COMPLETE.

My last contact lens for my left eye DIED last night. That is, it got a scratch or something and became irreparably damaged. And of course I can't get new contacts without a current prescription, whiiiich... I don't have. Because it's been over a year.

THE GOOD: I have an appointment for tomorrow morning!

THE BAD: Right now I'm stumbling around wearing my glasses from... oh god. About eight years ago. This is so not a valid prescription. IT LOOKS LIKE I LIVE UNDERWATER. EVERYTHING IS BLURRY AND FUZZY AND I CAN'T SEE FACES AND ALSO THINGS SEEM VAGUELY LIKE THEY'RE BULGING TOWARDS ME OH GOD OH GOD I'M SO BLIND. Hoowwwww did I live with these up until a year ago?


In other news, I keep having these weird dreams where something really nice happens to me and then I wake up and am sad. At least it's not as bad as the dreams where I'm a total dick and wake up feeling sad. WHY CAN'T I JUST DREAM ABOUT EATING CUPCAKES?


BUT ACTUALLY WHAT I WANTED TO SAY WAS "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY"!

What I should be doing: finishing an essay and putting things in boxes and cleaning.

What I want to be doing: eating ice cream and watching Aladdin.

BEING AN ADULT IS HARD :(

Awwwwwww, this is adorable. It reminds me of elementary school, when you'd have to put valentines in everyone's little desk boxes and you could tell who were the cool kids because their valentines had like, Transformers and stuff on them. ANYWAY THIS IS SUPER NARCISSISTIC, BUT GO TELL ME HOW MUCH YOU LOVE ME.

AWESOME THINGS I FOUND WHILE CLEANING OUT MY CLOSET:

-a band of oversized plastic bullets
-the cowl for my super old Harley Quinn costume
-thigh high pirate hooker boots
-a handmade Moogle headband
-rotary blades that are almost certainly older than I am
-a red pleather jacket that makes me look like lesbian Kaneda
-a coat that makes me look like a grandma pretending to be a pimp

My life is full of magical surprises.

So in the last two weeks my iPod erased all my files, my dad cut off my phone service (I AM GETTING A NEW ONE TOMORROW THOUGH) and my laptop decided that it didn't want to turn on or acknowledge my existence anymore, despite having a full battery and a working charger. So that was fun. What's up with that, technology? I thought we were bros!

Also, I need human contact that isn't the guys at Best Buy. This is getting kind of depressing and I'd really like to leave the house for something that isn't a horrible but necessary errand that involves me spending hundreds of dollars. SOMEONE RESCUE ME.
